Just after KIJ in August 2025, thirty-five members of Kent Scouts aged 16 upwards will be setting off on the Botswana2025 Global Project. If all goes to plan we intend to rerun this project again in 2029.
This is in partnership with Projects Abroad carrying out Elephant conservation work.
Our team will be immersed in the Botswana culture, where they’ll learn about the importance of wildlife for the overall functioning of the ecosystem.
By tracking population movements, building waterholes, removing snares, and conducting species surveys, our volunteers will become an important part of wildlife conservation in Botswana.
Ahead of the trip our volunteers have been raising funds to pay their trip costs, through various activities and events.
We are confident that Kent Scouts will make a significant impact during their project, and we look forward to seeing their journey be a success.
