Scouts Against Malaria Badge

Scouts against Malaria is an initiative to create awareness of one tropical disease for which there is currently no vaccine.

It helps to implement the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG3) which is Good Health and Well-being and also Scouting’s global programme, Scouts for SDGs By learning about Malaria and what can be done to limit its impact through games and activities, young people can learn to make a difference and save a life

By providing programme ideas and resources, young people can learn about this deadly illness  and  have the ability to earn the badge by raising funds in order to enable African Scouts to provide education within their communities and enable them to purchase of insecticide treated bed nets,  which they can distribute to vulnerable families in Sub tropical Africa.
